Help I.D Pedro
Hi folks could do with some help with identifying Pedro (my wifes fault this plant now has a name!!). We have had him (it) for about a year now and over the last 3 months or so there has been some odd grey patches developing here and there. Any help gratefully recieved!!

Could be, my young O. ficus-indica plants look in similar way but have some small spines that is within the natural variability of the plant.esp_imaging wrote:Could be Opuntia ficus-indica
The seller did not tell you what the plant is? Or you did not care what you are buying?

O.K great thanks. There are very small spines on the plant. No there was no labels or identification on the plant atall (wyvales).

I really don't think Pedro is an O. ficus-indica. He (it) looks more like Consolea rubescens

o.ficus-indica is mostly pads - large shiny dark green, sparse thin white spines and no glochids.
