2 cacti need to be ID

Post by nbcrty »

Hello I am new to the cactus collecting and i am trying to get some accurate identification.
the first cactus is about 1.5 inches tall and i believe it is some type of Pilosocereus because of its blue like color.
the second cacti is about 6 inches tall and possibly a Mammilaria elongata.
I have very little to no experience in cacti so i would like to get opinions of others.

Buying a cactus a day will keep the madness away.

I agree with both those IDs. They appear to be growing in a mix that contains too much peat, you need to remove all of that and repot into a more free-draining mix with a high percentage of grit in it. Consult the Cultivation forum for details
