Here is a photo I took at Joshua Tree National Monument in the early 70s. Developed and printed this myself back in the old days. :D

As far as I can see this should of been Joshua Cacti National Monument. Image

sweet! That looks like the dense stands of bigelovii they call the Cholla Garden, I think?

Fun! A window in time.

The cholla garden may not have changed much, but think how much different photography is now!

What a neat photograph! It sure looks like a beautiful area!

Yes, it is hard to believe how much photography has changed!

Thanks for posting the more recent color pics. Love seeing old landmarks.

Cool! Also, if you read the quote under "Cholla Cactus Garden", it says:"If the plant bears any helpful or even innocent part in the scheme of things on this planet, I should be glad to hear of it." :lol:
A cactus and succulent collector who especially likes Ariocarpus. …Though I have a bit of everything! Want some pictures? See my flickr! I also do art and such.
