My Winter Project
My Winter Project
My collection had outgrown the window sills in the house so I built a small greenhouse to house it.
here is my collection in it's new home
Now we just need the rain to stop!

Very nice. I especially like the chair and the Heineken... my kind of gardening!
It’s not the fall that kills you; it’s the sudden stop at the end.

Re: My Winter Project
Wonderful! You've got a nice amount of space there for some nice plants.
I'm still on windowsills until I can find the room and the money for a greenhouse! I can't wait to make the transition from sill to greenhouse.

Great work, well done!
There is many space to fill. It won't take a long time.
Are you watering with Heineken?

Only when the last tree has died, the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize that we cannot eat money.

Re: My Winter Project
That's really nice and tidy, and I noticed your heater on the floor. I've returned from England with one of those plus a one of the lantern type ones for keeping the frost off at the beginning of winter. It was cheaper in England than here, but the larger style parasene heater works out cheaper here! What I would like to know is, How on earth did you fit all of those plants on the window sill??? Compliments on the greenhouse, it looks great.

By the way, I know what you mean by the weather. I was over 11 days and it rained every one, cold as well. Couldn't wait to get back home to my hubby, animals and plants.

Looks great and I'm sure you'll have a lot of success as a result. I am still amazed at how well my plants do here in MN thanks to the greenhouse.

Re: My Winter Project
I know this is going back in time, but how do you get on with that parafine heater Tony? I gave mine a trial run and ended up with a lot of soot until I realized I had forgotten to clean the chimney on it now I am very wary of using it in case it happens again. At the moment I am using a little anti-frost one which adequate for now but I will soon need to use something more powerful whe winter sets in. I have spent all night looking for this post as I knew that I had seen one in someone's greenhouse a while back. Thanks in anticipation.
