Can anyone please help me identify this plant. It was given to me this year by a neighbour, after she realized my attraction to cactii

The picture tags are broken.

Nope that picture inclusion didn't work. One problem appears to be a broken img tag, missing right bracket ']'.

I managed it!!! Wrong way round but am getting there. Will redo it tomorrow as it is late now.

agrees with Darryl.
At least I know it's a Pachypodium anyways. I almost bought one of those at DBG's gift shop the other day. or something similar.

Thankyou all very much. Now I can look up information on the internet on how to care for it. I did have some more better photos to add, but as it was my first time using the forum it took me til well past bedtime to work it all out especially uploading the photo. As you can tell I'm quite new to the comp. have only had it 8mths. and am learning something new every day. Thank you again.
