Dears..
As one who is addicted to grafting.. I tried Opuntia leptocaulis as a stock for Gymno. babies and young seedlings..
I will keep you updated with pictures soon..
For the ones who do not know O. leptocaulis... here is an example

Interesting, I haven't grown this species but it looks like something that would work well with seedlings, I'd be interested to see how it goes.

I have a couple plants of it and have intended to use them as rootstocks, but they don't seem as juicy as pereskiopsis - they do better in my GH over the winter though. Perhaps if I grew it in lowish light in my propagator it'd etoliate and get juicy. Your plant doesn't look much like mine.

grafting updates with pics

Dears..
Four days now and my little grafted babies look fine "sp far" .
I decided to put them in potting mix for the stocks to root..Image
I am not quite sure how my grafted stuff would work with super-glue-mthod..
In fact I the fist time I tried this method it failed because the glue reached the union point and it was blocked .. I discovered that few days later when the scion started to soften "sign of no union"
I think the super-glue method would be better to apply for larger scions and stock diameters..
