Adromischus

Post by Mike »

Hi,

I recently got some Adromischus, labelled, but wonder if the labels are wrong after looking at Pilbeam's Adr. book.

The one on the right was labelled as maculatus, but seems to fit the description of triflorus better. Pilbeam says the two are often confused, but macualtus has a horny edge throughout, while triflorus has it only on the upper part.

The one on the left said marianiae, but seem to fit trigynus better.

Thanks Mike

Mike,

I agree with the misname on the maculatus. Can't argue with triflorus for it either, although we use a different name. It might be a form of A. cooperi.

After some looking on the net, the one on the left looks like A. trignus (rupicolus).

Try trygnus... Looks quite good at that for it. Definitely not maculatus either of them. They're far too organised...
