Melocactus fruits

I just bought a fairly big melocactus the other week and it has started producing fruit from the cephalium. very surprised how quickly the fruit gets pushed out, one day nothing then the next a large shiny red fruit.
Id like to know if the seeds in the fruit are capable of producing more plants or are they just blanks.
also should i open these fruits and dry out the seeds or leave them in the cases.

Ill need to buy 10,000 pots as the fruits are packed haha.
wonder what would happen if i just planted one of the red fruits.

Cow man? I think that was supposed to be "Sow man!"
