Just picked this up from my local nursery man.
Any Ids?
The flower is approx 3"(76mm) from tip to tip and the largest stem is 4" long x 1" wide at the widest section.

I dunno the name, but I have a NOID plant that sure looks very similar. Hopefully you'll (we'll?) get an ID for it.

I can tell you it's not Stapelia paniculata ssp. scitula though...I have that plant and the stems are upright, skinny (about 1cm max), and the flowers are about the size of a quarter.

I guess Buck ran out of time to break out the books ;) he showed it to me last week wondering what it might be. It wasn't very stinky as I recall. I'll check my CD, see if it matches anything.

Yes Tracey I have spent alot of time on Martins site.
But nothin matches exactly, Stapelia asterias is close though.

Yah, We speculated it might be a hybrid.
Im sure he will be bouncing it off of Martin soon. :wink:

That's right. Sitting in London Heathrow right now waiting for our plane to Cape Town. We'll see Martin on Saturday. That exact plant is not on his site. We'll see.

i have one much the same BCSS experts also called it a hybrid a few years back :D
