Outside in the UK

Post by iann »

Here in a cool wet part of the UK it isn't easy to grow succulents outside but a few do well.

Image

In flower, Hereroa glenensis, tough as old boots.

Top right is Neohenricia, actually a hybrid between the two species. It is also in flower, but nocturnal.

Bottom left is Maihuenia poeppigi which does OK for a few years and then rots off. It has never flowered.

Hiding in the shadows at top left is Echinocereus dasyacanthus, not in flower yet but it does have a bud.

Nice, but we know you have more than that lurking outside!
