You dwarf whipplei shows a lot more yellow than mine. Mine is a vivid Chartreuse color! Do you want a finger or two?

Humm, I really have to think about it You know better than to offer me something like that I have a couple of your favorite creamy yellows picked out for you as soon as blooming stopsJohn P Weiser wrote:Bill

A few new shots from this last week.
First curtsy of Chris. Opuntia aciculata.
Next Echino reichinbachii var baileyi.
Echino. caespiflosus var. minor.
O. phaeacantha a very spiny, green padded form.
Last a shot of a mature clump of Grusonia pulchella
from Charles. Showing the tuberous root system.

woohoo
The rookie hardy gardener has an entry, my first one and first cactus I've gotten to flower (meaning wasn't one bought with flower already on it).
Ec. reichenbachii v. caespitosa
Hadn't even started to open early this AM and within a few hours I just happened to look and found it.

Congrats on your first hardy flower! I'm sure we will see many more as the years progress.
Chris
Love the coral colored phaeacantha.

John,
You've got some nice ones there but that O. aciculata bloom is Awesome
Ray,
Good to see some action in your garden. Looks like there happy
Chris,
Don't know which I like best, the cactus flowers or the gopher snake Your O. phaeacantha "coral" is sweet-- very spiny and a sweet flower. Doesn't get much better than that. The start I got is already putting on new growth
