Appears very dry

Hi everyone here is a picture of one of my cactus. It has been inside for the winter at inside temps. Well its lost its green and looks dry but still has weight to it. Also it seems to have a great big root base if you look at the picture closely you can see where I cleared a bit of dirt around that...

Thanks Mike and Rosemarie I would have never figured that out. I Googled Euphorbia polygona and that seems to be a good match.

I have had this cactus for seven years and haven't really ever found another like it. It came from a cacti show in Bakersfield, ca. Nope the purple spot is hard I am feeling ok about it. I think it is just some over active coloring. Hum the spot is purple not charcole I thought it was just a little discoloration since the cactus has blue not green skin. I really like them hope there ok

Just received these bare root very happy with there condition. they are : Pilosocereus Azureus qty2 Euphorbia Obesa qty1 http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o205/Kristinaannef/newbaby.jpg I have never bought bare rot before so just put them in the pot no water yet thinking about maybe a little Kristina

Im not sure why you cut it in-half at this point but at any rate if you get both halves to root the one with out a top should make you some babies out of its chopped of top.

Everyone here is right its pretty hardy you should have no problems.
