Are you sure that plant isn't a mammillaria spinosissma 'un pico'. It doesnt look like gemispina nobilis at first glance.

I know the threads a bit old but just for info purposes, named hybrids can only be propagated vegetatively. They wont come true from seed. Although seed produced from them might produce some lovely plants, if you want the named hybrids it has to be cuttings.

After that event all the trays and surrounding floor got a liberal sprinkle of pellets, next day there was many dried up slugs and yes snails too! grim but satisfying.
