Things like this sometimes happens because of combination of wattering and cold weather, aloes are quite sensitive on this. And keeping in hot car...

Well, today there is one my plant from ELK less - one Faucaria is totally rotten....it didn`t even manage to meet new home in my GH :p

You can grow sansevierias on your north side windowsills... cacti and lithops very hard.... I mean you can buy and bring them but not for long...

as already written, there are almost as many receptures for cacti soil as there are growers. Bit I don`t think this soil is useful for cacti because it is acidic and it contains pine bark. Well, maybe for Rhipsalis and Hoyas and Epiphyllums in particular percentage....

Every time I look at your pictures I need at least half of hour to stop dreaming.... your plants are simply amazing! I can`t imagine you grow such wonderful plants in climate, which is not exactly conducive to such plants. All praise to you indeed! Your terrace and greenhouses are more than paradise...
