Help me purchase some cold hardy cactus
I just completed my raised bed to grow some cold hardy cacti but I'm having trouble finding a place to purchase them online. I have some opuntia humifusa but that's it for now. I wanted to buy some Opuntia polyacantha but I can't find any place online that has them in stock and I'm not sure I trust ...

Re: What happened to this guy?
Unfortunately they've been locked in a room (to stop the cats from destroying them) and this is the first time I've checked on them in a few weeks.Aiko wrote:Has it turned like this overnight? If not, in what time space?

Re: What happened to this guy?
Doubt it. It's been inside, on a table with 7 other cacti since I brought it home. This is the only one with any damage.

What happened to this guy?
Any ideas? It looks like something got at it. Bought it in February and its been inside and water free since then. Any danger to the other cacti that it was previously planted with? http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/150x100q90/922/u9FHdo.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/150x100q90/922/3KUGIf.jpg

Re: Cactus ID Help
The first year I had it I didn't give it the most ideal growing conditions but I've since changed my routine so hopefully I can get it to flower in the near future!

No it has never flowered. It came with a straw flower that you can see in one picture that I removed the day I got it.

Saguaro Care
I recently purchased a Saguaro (about 8 inches tall). Seeing as it's the pride and joy of my collection, I hope that it's able to outlive me. I was wondering if there's any special care tips for them. I have quite a few cacti and my routine seems to be working well for me but I'm not sure if saguaro...

Cactus ID Help
I've had this cactus for nearly 2 years now and still have no idea what it is. When I got it, it was about 3.5inches tall. It is now over 7 inches tall. Here are some pictures from when I got it and what it looks like now. Thanks for the help! http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/150x100q90/922/7IuU7C.j...

Re: Identification for a newbie
Definitely not an Arrojadoa and if it was Armatocereus godingianus, then we'd be asking you where you got it, since it is considered extremely rare. :) Not either of those. I could do with a closer shot of the stem, but it looks like it could be a young Saguaro. :) aka Carnegiea gigantea. Haha ok. ...

Identification for a newbie
I'm not one that normally cares about plants, but I've always loved cacti so I went to the store and bought my very first cactus. Naturally, curiosity got the best of me and I want to know what kind of cactus it is. I looked through the different types and I think it looks closest to Arrojadoa bahie...
