I believe the plant is Euphorbia lactea. If grown outside it soon grows into a large tree which can become top heavy and dangerous in wind. I do not believe the yellowing is a nutrient deficiency. Certainly Zinc and iron are nutrients of limited mobility in plants and symptoms would show greatest yellowing at the growing point and less towards the base.
