Re: Question about Lophophora W.
Hi Daedalux. If you are still looking for L. williamsii plants I have lots and lots and can help you. This also applies to anyone else who is looking for L.w. There is no problem shipping from the UK to Portugal at the moment as we are both in the EU. Hopefully, this will change on March 29th 2019. ...

Hi Zagoric.
In my opinion, they look exactly like they should do at that age. Patience is a virtue.

Hi KW. That's a beautifully preserved piece of historical machinery! It's just a pity that it was not invented by the English.

This very successful rescue has just appeared on UK tv.

Re: Aloe Plant Pot
You need a drainage hole. Drill a hole your self. There are many different kind of drill bits that will do the job. I've drilled lots of holes in terracotta pots, both glazed and unglazed, using a simple tungsten carbide tipped masonry drill. Drill from the outside, don't use percussion and have ha...

A fabulous display, as always, Mr. KW. I never tire of looking at your Astrophytum collection.

The plant on the left in your pic entitled "no clue", is, in my opinion, a Euphorbia and not a cactus at all.

Re: Painted tips
Strangely enough, I was in Nottingham about 3 weeks ago and went into the large, city centre shopping arcade. Whilst my wife was inside a shop spending my money, I took a look at some large planter troughs filled with succulents. There were dozens and dozens of these abominations, so landscapers are...

Your 1st one is a Hylocereus species, probably undatus but possibly triangularis. These bear the dragon fruits you sometimes see in the shops.

Re: Anyone doing butt grafts
I've tried on a few occasions, but never had any success. I don't know why that should be, I'm competent at grafting seedlings onto Pereskiopsis and moving them on later to Harrisia.
I wish you luck, but am unable to assist with your questions.

Re: Mammillaria boelderliana
Have you tried Brian Fern at Abbey Brook Cacti at Matlock in Derbyshire. He holds the National Collection of Mammillarias and it's surprising what he has got. He's no spring chicken now and is winding the business down a bit, but he's well worth a try.
