Re: Clear vinyl plastic for greenhouse shelf unit.
Ok, I had a plastic greenhouse from Lowes 8x12 that I bought in 2012 when I started buying cacti and couldnt stop. We set it up with stakes in the ground etc. Im in east Texas and we get strong storms, wind and rain. It held up really well and never moved an inch! It had zippered windows and 2 zippe...

Re: Summer heat
So far only 100 for about 2 days, showers in the afternoon. ( Texas). My cacti are in the Gh with a fan, so far so good. I watered them again today, they seem to like it.

Re: So frustrating!
I dont think its birds. They peck and this does not look like pecking. It looks more like grasshoppers. I had the same thing happened to mine and they were in a closed GH. Birds couldnt go in there but grasshoppers managed. I saw them and actually removed one from my plants. They are ferocious eater...

Why is it turning brown?
Im asking for a friend of mine who lives in Germany. His little green cactus turned brown after he sprayed it with insecticide. Could these be spidermites? He said he wiped it with a clothrs and the cloth turned reddish. Any help what this could be?
Thank you!
Thank you!

Re: How much water?
Thank you! Yes a typo error, it's 100, even today! I have a broad range of cacti and succulents, all in a GH. They all get the same treatment. They ones that love sun more are on the top shelf, others are more protected, like on the middle shelf. I rotate my plants now and then. Glad to know once a ...

How much water?
Hi, I haven't posted in awhile but here I am again with a new question. I'm in hot Texas and this summer it's 200 degrees F every day for the past couple of weeks. I have been watering all cacti in the GH once a week. They are in Clay pots. Is that enough watering considering the temp, or can I incr...

Re: Washing cactuses?
Whenever my cacti look dirty I use a small makeup brush or small paintbrush to remove the dirt. It works great and is safe for the plants. Maybe I'm weird but I like clean plants. It's my OCD! Lol
