Re: I can't see images displayed!
Thank goodness for that! I thought it was me that was doing something wrong. Also wasn't aware that I had to log on Oh well, I'm sure that within a short time we will all get used to it and be thinking how much better it is.

Re: Goat Stall
Hey, Tiggy - You're pic "Goat Stall" reminded me of taking care of the dairy goats in Upstate NY in the late '70's. One winter we were actually walking over the top of the fencing -- for several weeks! Were heating with wood in those days, so cold & snow wasn't a Big issue! We ...

How dis-heartening! My biggest menace is chickens, but the nice thing about cacti is that I can have them outside in the summer and they don't touch them. Succulents yes, most other plants that I've tried, yes. If they can reach them they destroy them. They don't even eat them! Everyone here warned ...

Personaly I like the simple features of this forum. A couple other forums I was on recategorized everything into finer categories and complicated the sites. I don't use them realy at all anymore. I hope you don't take a more complicated route. I'll second that, It's less than a year since I acquire...

We just paid for our nice weather. A foot of heavy, wet snow. This is the ally I live on. When that line came down it knocked out our electricity and heat for about four and a half hours. http://www.cactiguide.com/forum/userpix/2500_100_1417_t_1.jpg This is my main trail. But not today. http://www....

Parasene or Paraffin?
I have been looking into acquiring a greenhouse heater, (or two) to use in the casetta for the plants. We have just received our electric bill for the last two months and it is so high that we cannot possibly keep the heater going at this rate. I have now moved the most vulnerable plants into the ho...

Can someone name my babies?
Can someone give me a name for these two plants please? am trying very hard to identify my babies one by one. I know I've seen them somewhere and have also written the names down, but I have a list of names so long that I'm not sure where to start, so have decided to download each photo onto a works...

Great snow dog Tiggy  Where about in Italy are you? We're up the north of Italy close to France and the maritime alps. Yesterday it snowed again most of the day with strong winds which very kindly blew all the snow round the house, hubby was cleaning near the door constantly trying to leave us...
