Hey there!

I'd say they're Myrtillocactus geometrizans, very good as a grafting stock, widely used in Chile due to its appearance which improves the grafting's appearance.

I heard about the quake too!
I'm glad it wasn't serious, about two years ago we had an 8.8 earthquake and it really messed things up.
I hope Irene is not too serious!
