Re: BRC's cacti adventure...in a flat
Well the sun is out after almost two weeks of rain and grey skies and my residents have decided to present me with a few small but beautiful flowers. I love turbies!! http://i1086.photobucket.com/albums/j447/prevaricador/2018/IMG_20180612_121029_zpsoediw8lf.jpg http://i1086.photobucket.com/albums/j4...

First flower of the year over here, from one of my new resisdents. Not sure exactly which Turbinicarpus it could be, but maybe schmiedickeanus. http://i1086.photobucket.com/albums/j447/prevaricador/2018/IMG_20180331_102634_zpsi8zvcvfm.jpg http://i1086.photobucket.com/albums/j447/prevaricador/2018/IM...

That is one beautiful old lady you got there DW, very impressive. I am not very familiar with the status in the wild, but according to Dave and a bit of flash reading aparently these aren't doing to good. Re: What cacti should everyone own?
Parodia and Notocactus species come to mind. Normally they are not hard to grow and always give nice flower displays. One of my personal favorites is Parodia subterranea, which while not easy is quite small, beautifull and uncommon.

Re: BRC's cacti adventure...in a flat
You are probably right. I only had one other Aloe since i started growing cacti and succulents, and that one flowered for me in a matter of months, i just thought that eventually, someday, maybe lol, it would grace me with some flowers. Back in 2012 i believe, Aloe veriagata. (Bad Photo) http://i108...
