Re: White mould on Lithops seed

Spray some water on the 'mould'. If it is really mould, it would clump together due to the drups. And you should be able to remove them gently with the tip of a knife. If they are roots, they will stay as they are, but just wet.

Re: White mould on Lithops seed

I don't know what you think to see, but I don't see mould. I see lot's of little roots finding their way down into the soil.

I ususally help the plants out: grabbing a pointy knife, stab the soil to make a nice hole and place the roots gently into the hole, then pushing the soil back.

Just removed some of the sides and allow wind to blow in throughout the day. I have multiple windows open in my greenhouse, and up here it is just 10C even.

Re: Looking for native CA seeds

Go through the seed lists of "the Czechs". They usually have Echinomastus johnsonii for sale as seeds.
Go to the "Updated seed lists" thread for a link of these seed vendors. You should wait for next autumn to order something again, though.

You seen to be the only person to be bothered by whatever rule im not fallowing. It is not me personally that is telling you what to do. I am reminding you that those rules exist, for the second time even. Simple as that. The forum has set up rules to regulate an overwhelming amount of identificati...

You seem to keep forgetting about rule 1 in the rules for posting identification requests: viewtopic.php?t=45443

We have these rules in place for a reason. Don't abuse this forum.

Re: Which genera will germinate better if seeds are stored for a year?

With my seed order for Succulenta, I have received a couple of times next to my order a bonus mix of seeds that are probably around ten years old, just some left overs from seeds that were not ordered. When I sowed these, I still had quite a lot of things popping up. It is a bit early to confirm of ...

Re: Watering while on holiday

Just leave them without water. They are succulents, even the one year olds can easily survive a few weeks if not months without water, as antisepp says. Just give them a good soak before you go, and maybe set the light intensity level a bit lower and the temperature a bit lower too (just in case), s...

Please see rule number 1 for posting ID request: viewtopic.php?t=45444
After so many requests through the years, it is about time you start to follow up to rule 4 and actually contribute to this forum.
