Re: Fanaticactus 2014
Lobivia and Echinopsis shouldn't have any problems with a cold winter rest. My plants doing well at about 41F (5°C) during the winter. More important is to start watering and feeding as early as possible. Some of my Lobivia show flowers again and again till fall. Anyway I guess you know this alread...

Re: Fanaticactus 2014
I'm not sure whether minimal care is right for Echinopsis and Lobivia . They require more water and fertilizer than e.g. Echinocereus and Mammillaria . On the other hand your care conditions seems to be the best for your plants. Everybody make his own experiences on the way to sucess. Last year I go...

Re: Ralf's collection - update 05/28/14
The first one P127 is definitively a pure baldianum. I'm quite sure. The second one with the light red flower could be a hybrid. But the spines seem to be typical for both plants. Anyway it's nice to see them flower. 69_Lophophora_williamsii_var._caespitosa.JPG 70_Lophophora_williamsii_var._caespito...

Re: Cactus Nursery Haage, Germany
Sue, I know about that, but who cares what's growing in the secret corner of your greenhouse. In the past I've seen several strange Gymnocalycium with that kind of pink flowers. Who knows the tiny difference of Lophophora and Gymnocalycium? Except some cactus experts at the CactiGuide forum. :)
