Re: Mamm ID

As Russell noted above, it could also be a mam mazatlanensis which has a similar flower but is of a much darker color... this is mine:

What might this be?

I've had this one for approximately 12 years and it was at least 3-4 years old when I got it. It is approximately 10+ inches tall (28 cm) and the spines are about 3 in. (8 cm) long. The pictures show with/without flowers. Any idea what it might be? Thank you.

Re: Corypantha ???

Thank you. That appears to be a definite possibility and I'll go with that unless someone else has a "for sure" option. Again thank you

Corypantha ???

I've had this guy for 10+ years. It bloomed once years ago (yellow) but has since just sat quietly growing. I'm almost sure it is a corypantha but do you know what species? Thank you.

Re: Are They the Same?

I noticed that and that is what led me to believe that they might be different species. Thanks

Are They the Same?

These look very similar to me but the spinage is a bit different. The first one has never bloomed for me in 5+ years...it is 3.5 inches tall and 5" wide...the second one is 3 inches tall and 3.5 inches tall...the blooms are evident. Are these the same type? Thank you for any help.

Re: noto/parodia ???

Thank you all. I will put it back in the last row and enjoy looking at it from the same direction as previously. Perhaps one day it will flower but i still like it and it is healthy

noto/parodia ???

This plant has been in the last row of my "cactus cage"; it has been healthy (at least I thought it was healthy) but never bloomed. Now that I am out of the hospital and able to reach plants in the last row, I was shocked at the split in the backside. It still looks good from the front but...
