Re: Is this Melo plumping?
Maybe it's just me, but it doesn't look like it is plumping up. I think it may have lost it's roots.

if you were going to sell it on ebay it might be best to cut it and offer the top 10 to 12 inches and stick the bottom half back into the Earth.

Re: LOOK at the dry and crumbly sore.

I sure thought that cactus was a goner when I first spotted the nasty spot and just set it aside away from the other plants and basically forgot about it for a very long time. I'm sure glad the plant started growing again..probably helps t...

LOOK at the dry and crumbly sore.
Please take a look at this nasty looking brown, dry and somewhat crumbly sore on the base of one of my smaller cacti. The sore is larger than a dime but smaller than a nickel. It’s been there for about 3 years and doesn’t appear to be getting much if any worse than when I first spotted it. The plant...

Re: pachypodium lamerei issues

Re: Be careful what you spray
I don't thnk you can go wrong using Imidacloprid. I have heard negative stuff on the use oils on cacti skin or on their roots but I have no experience with the stuff. The alcohol should be fine as long as you don't over-do-it, I use it myself upon occasion.
