your opinion appreciated: could this fellow pass for a Gymnocalycium monvillei ssp horridispinum?
Areola looks a little bit unusual for me. Too many central spines, and color is neither classic yellowish or brown.

Age 20+ yrs, I can't recall exactly, I make no notes. It is shoulder height, I bought it as a small seedling on a cactus exhibition, it was cca 8-10 cm. I had the first bud in this year.
