Re: Echinomastus johnsonii care
Hello everyone, I'm resurrecting this old thread because it's of particular interest to me. I'm really interested in growing cacti from my home state of California, and E. johnsonii is a favorite of mine to encounter in habitat. I also had the same experience! Zero germination and then they blocked me once I contacted them about it! Th...

I was wondering if you keep any Epithelantha species?
Sincerely,
Norman

Re: Growing strategy ?
Most of my focus is southwestern US species and northern mexican species. I also like growing lots of plants from seeds. Cultivars don’t really do it for me and I prefer a plant with locality information over a variegated specimen. Also, I prefer seed-grown plants and not a fan of grafted plants (I ...

Re: Looking for Turbinicarpus
Thanks Tom! I placed an order with them back in december and they aren’t shipping orders out until sometime this month.
I’m hoping someone has some young or older plants they are looking to cut back

Re: Big Bend National Park, TX
G'morning Sonoran Jackalope, Where is this information from? Just curious. Personally, I have seen thousands of fissuratus in the Big Bend region and none were smooth. Actually, the Big Bend area is known to have some “highly-fissured” fissuratus. Thanks for your information. I just bought seeds fr...

Re: Big Bend National Park, TX
If you wanted it to look like one in habitat, you'd have to really torture it.
