Question on conophytum dormancy

I got a decently sized clump of Conophytum truncatum last september. It has recently started shrivelling and I believe is beginning a leaf change. However, while in some heads I can feel a noticeable hard lump others are just very squishy. Should I be worried? This is first clump I got and I really ...

Big scale infestation - please help

I recently left my plants alone for ~ 1 month since I had to go somewhere, and I came back to almost 1/3 of my collection covered in scale bugs and mealies. Can anyone give me a way to get rid of a lot of scale at once? There's about 40 affected plants :(. I think they were there before, just in sma...

Re: Hana's cacti

G'morning memememe, How many plants are in the large greenhouse? Very nice ariocarpus, all from seed? I have never counted because of too many. All ariocarpus were propagated from seeds except some which are rooted off-sets. It is not easy to buy ariocarpus plants in here. Also, do you have differe...

Re: Hana's cacti

Also, do you have different watering methods for different species of cacti? Or do they all just get watered together? Thanks - just asking to know if it is alright to water them altogether (I just water them all at once since there's way too much and I don't have much time to care for them one by o...

Re: Hana's cacti

G'morning memememe, Many of my taller astrophytums (asterias) are also developing the indentations towards the middle like the one in the 2nd pic. A cactus can change the body volume which depends upon water volume in soft tissues. Soft tissues can change the volume but skin can not. A cactus with ...

Re: Strange segmented mutation in Haageocereus acranthus?

Could it be some pest that reoccurs when the climate is right? Very interesing - would be a really cool mutation if it was one.

Re: Hana's cacti

Beautiful plants! I have a question: Many of my taller astrophytums (asterias) are also developing the indentations towards the middle like the one in the 2nd pic. they now looks like they have a bottom segment and a top segment (only on one side, the other side seems normal). I have given it water,...
