2. Astrophytum v-type x v-type

Here also use gravel on the surface, which hopelessly delays emergence. The first germination took place after a week, and full emergence was after 2 weeks.

Andrew's sowing - Astrophytum asterias

Hi, I wanted to share my seedlings. We have been sowing seeds for about 2 years and I am doing quite well.
1. It's Astrophytum asterias v-type x hyperstar
The first photo of about one month old plants was taken on 27.08. 2021, and the last one on November 1, 2022

On ebay is more expencive because seller pay about 40% price fee.
I sale some plants on ebay moustly carnivorous, and last 3 weeks sold 0. usuely was 3 - 6 weelky

I have opuntias and few of kind Echinocereus in Poland all year free in the garden. Never soil was really dry, frost min - 25 C. Just windows cover on winter for echinocereus, but I m not surre was nesesery.

I have North american opuntias over 25 years. 15 years in Poland and now 10 years in UK. My opinion opuntias need a lot a fresh air, leaving outside in rock garden, I have no problem even in cold, wet jesień in Poland, and winter about - 20 C. A bit old topic, but I'll throw in a sentence. Even this year's seedlings left for the winter, such as Escobaria missouriensis, Gymno. baladinum, E. micromeris, opuntias, echinocereus, itp. survive the winter (UK) by eye - without losses. When I try to winter them at home, it is much worse. Sometime...

I was buying about 300 seeds from StarAstrophytum this year. About 80% maybe more germinated.
