Re: Help with ID

Thanks, I think it's controlled. If you have a look at the younger leaves (not very clear in the pictures) they seem to be ok.

Help with ID

I have this plant since several months. I was thinking that it could be a Kalanchoe Sexangularis but the leaves are not so fleshy and now that it has some flowers they don't look correct. Another guess is that it could be a Hypotelephium Spectabile but the flowers don't look correct. Any help would ...

I'll check, thanks. I'm not sure because there are many different pictures in the net and not all of them are correct.

Re: A Blooming Thread

I think this is a Rebutia (Muscula?) and it has had some flowers in two steps (we wi'll see another one, hopefully). (Updated because the pictures where not showing) The last flowering https://i.imgur.com/KLXbZXm.jpg A flower of the first part of the flowering. You can see the pollen. https://i.imgu...

Re: Trying to grow Fraileas from seeds

Yes, we are in inland Spain (North, but these days are being very hot). Hope we can still recover them because they are in bad mood. Thank you for your advice.

Re: Trying to grow Fraileas from seeds

Thanks. I'll take this into account next time. I was not very convinced about the experiment, so I did this in a very casual way, with the things I had at home.

Trying to grow Fraileas from seeds

Hello, (Updated, the picures were not showing) some weeks a go we bought a Frailea which had some pups and also fruits. We extracted some seeds and we decided to give them a try. Everything seems to be ok, but any advise would be appreciated. Last week picture: https://i.imgur.com/kFcYVVf.jpg And no...

Re: Cactus identification, and can I make it grow branches?

In nature it will break sooner or later. It is very long and unstable. It's the same with the children it grows. Some of them can fall easily and propagate. At least, this is my experience.

Re: Cactus identification, and can I make it grow branches?

As Russell99 told you, it will branch if you cut it. It's quite tall so if you cut it near the top you can have problems with the weight of the upper part. This is mine, some time ago https://avecesunafoto.files.wordpress.com/2020/02/img_20200101_114534.jpg Of course, when you cut it you'll have two...

Re: Help with ID

Thank you. I concur with you. I was thinking about Uncinata, but I discovered the existence of Ruschia Indurata and I was hesitanting about the definitive ID.

Help with ID

Hello, this friend started to bloom two weeks ago. I think it can be a Ruschia Uncinata, but maybe it can be also a Ruschia Indurata or, maybe, another kind of plant. Any help? Any idea about where to look? http://www.cactuseros.com/images/Imagenes/CactusUsuarios/fernand0/138316.jpg Before starting....

Re: Can you help with ID?

Thank you!
The label is mine and I'm not convinced.
I was thinking about glaucens inermis but I wasn't able to find information in the sites I'm visiting for identification.
