I'm not sure but maybe this will be helpful info: When researching grow lights I kept reading that the light should be at least 2000 lumens. I'm not sure of the conversion from watts to lumens though, but I didn't see many recommended lights that were 8W. You could probably use multiple.

What about humidity from showers/baths? Will that be too moist for them in there? I don't know if bathroom humidity will allow the soil to dry out enough between waterings.
