I open this post to share my sowings.
I'm kinda bad at growing cacti and succulents from seeds. Hopefully this year I will be more successful.

My first grafts.
This summer I practiced for the first time some grafts with seedlings produced by my Lophophora.
All the seedlings were grafted ad 2 months old in July. I found grafting on Pereskiopsis really easy getting a 100% success

Re: Dioscorea elephantipes in winter.
Yes I have a D. elephantidens/elephantipes and it should be a winter grower.
So should I water(if it keeps showing new growth) even in december or january when the temperatures will be even lower?
I never had winter growers before and I'm really confused.

Re: Ordering seeds
I wouldn't order from Koehres. Usually the quality and the germination percentages are very bad.
This is a link from an italian forum where lots of people complain about Koehres.

Hi I recently bought this Ferocactus hamatacanthus with the fruit already on it.
How do I know when it's the right time to harvest the seed pod?

Re: Cowboy cactus sick and turning brown now
I think you should cut with a sterilized knife the sick parts.
To prevent this infections during the vegetative period you should place it outside.

Re: Root mealybugs?
I think that they are collembolas (fairly harmless arthropods).
Do they jump when you disturb them?
They often live in the bottom of pots and in humid places.

Unknown pest
Can you help me identify this pest that i found on some of my pereskiopsis? They are really small(<5mm). The sick pereskiopsis had on the top side of some leaves a white coat and the bottom sides were consumed and presented little black round things (eggs?). I sprayed them with dimethoate. photo_201...
