I would put a hammock in there and a cd player and get the place rockin, my cacti love a bit of metal or heavy rock. They love a good dose of rage aginst the machine. :D

Hi Paul- I've had no trouble with bokei under arid conditions, even in cold Santa Fe. But I have been told by other growers that they can be touchier than micromeris. I like the gravel found in builders sand, I clean it well and riddle it and it looks quite nice and is very cheap. :D

I have just read about those and they are for scale, they won't sort out your mealy problem.
