How do I reroot this Astro superkabuto???

Hi, I had this one grafted on an opuntia compressa that died, don't know why... I removed the opuntia stock and was left with the superkabuto still healthy (I think). A week has passed and now it's dry. My question is... what should I do? The stock left a hole on the bottom of the plant. Will it roo...

From my research in my books and the net I only can think of G. anisitsii... but their spines are not usualy this long, so I believe it can be an hybrid... or not :roll:
