following this post because I'm also highly interested to see whats available more locally. I am brand new to the hobby and really have nothing to offer at this point, but am really interested in finding some hobbyists near by that I could potentially buy from in the future. Sure, keep in touch. :D

My guesses are: #1 - Ferocactus (maybe pilosus) #2 - Parodia leninghausii #3 - Stetsonia coryne #4 - Parodia magnifica I'm almost sure #2 is espostoa guentherii and #3 a lobivia/echiopsis. Stetsonia has deeper more rounded ribs. The rest im with teo I'm certain Stetsonia has longer spines! This is ...

very nice, thanks for the pic! i often remove the offsets as well, but once they reach a certain size they start leaving ugly scars which i dont like. i have 2 that i am picking like pimples on a 14 year old, but the rest i tend to leave to clump away :) how old is yours? looks great! Maybe a photo of where the rot started and how it disallowed - see forum rules? I haven't experienced it myself but i see it a lot at the nursery i buy my cacti from. 90% of these cases happen to the so called "lollipop cacti" and the rest with rebutia heliosa Forum rules? In this case ph...
