I grafted 3 caput-medusae based F1 seedlings in Feb this year. Unlikely farther plant, all of them are growing very slowly. I split a seedling and grafted on 21/09/08. The scion is caput-medusae, sown seeds on 24/08/08. One failed and other was made well. I could not make two from one and I have been reviewing my method. Hi Tvaughan I just put a scion on top of the grafting stock, no pressure on the scion. I use also a paper cap shown in the photo to minimize drying up and stopping direct sunlightto hit the scion. Grafting stock
Hi Alex I use seedlings of Harraisia jusbertii as grafting stocks. 3 years old jusbertii seedlings should be grown around 30 cm height. I graft seedlings on top of jusbertii stocks and cut off bottom of stocks after confirmation of the successfull grafting. I cut stock height as 22.5 cm and rooting....
