Hi there.
Soo I visit my plant nursery head straight to the product I intend to buy.... picked up a bag paid and left.
Contents(Italian product)says cactus and succulent mix based on sphagnum peat moss and silica sand 0.3mm.
Says as well "must be used as. "
Knowing me i read the instructions after using the product 2parts mixed with 1part coconut fiber and marrow, 1part pumice,1part expanded clay pallets, and 2parts perlite.
I hope for the best as i go along as this is the first time i am using coconut fiber and marrow and off the shelf product that contains such small sand already mixed in it.
Being Maltese here our climate is quute warm with air temps sometimes in summer up to mid 30s.
Looking up fantastic posts and sites with information on how to prepare the right cactus potting mix, sometimes I get so confused within myself that I start doubting myself if what I'm using would be the right ingredients for the job.
I will keep this post updated as summer gets closer and watch over the plants how they will respond to such mix.
Comments are welcome guys.
Thanks for reading.
Much appreciated.
Noel.
