This has been identified in another forum as Gymnocalycium saglionis, but I don't think is correct. Not even sure this is Gymnocalycium.

the id is correct, its just that this is a crested specimen. very rare and very cool!

BADASS cactus. Definitely saglionis. Pretty common, but not crested ones like this. One of my absolute favorite species. They get huge!
