If anyone is interested, today is the 1st anniversary for one of the most significant battles of the middle east. After 3 years of political slacking and bureaucracy, the army finally got to orders to sweep the north eastern slopes on the border with and clean it from terrorists. The operation started on august 19th 2017 and in 9 days, a complete network of roads were made in the arid inaccessible rocky area and 100s of ISIS members were killed or captured wirh very minor army casualities. It was a fast and complete sweep. While it may not seem like something important, it was one of the biggest accomplishments of the Lebanese army. We live in close vicinity to big reservoirs of terrorists and this was a huge step towards eradicating them. The army intelligence and police intellegence are the most successful in the area in preventative measures and capturing dormant terrorists resulting in Lebanon being the safest country in the area (despite western media claims)

Oh sorry i meant 2017! This is a high altitude area in the east mountains. It's usually covered by at least 2 meters of snow. That's why they had to wait till summer. Anyway, thank you for your kind words!
If you feel like seeing footage that is not arid, you'd love these short videos:
