All Cacti are succulents, but not all succulents are Cacti

I suggest that all the "creative" people meet next year on a nice Mexican beach, with our cameras, imaginations, and a good bottle of tequila so we can discuss our host's abuse of the arts in private

xmas cacti
1.) I have to go with Grand Chorum as numero uno as this looks like a very fortunate set of circumstances to get a shot of this flowering specimen in very humble conditions.
2.) Have to go with Hablu's shot of these flowers that look like Lilly Pads in bloom.
3.) And the runner up, CP Cactuspolecat. You're getting too professional with the camera CP. Might have seen that shot in one of my books! LOL!
4.) And a "nice try" goes to "hob" with his Opuntia. Might have spilled blood decorating that one.

Oops!
#2.) I meant to say that Hablu gets the award for second place for his pic that looks like my #1 vote but it was too close and I couldn't see the whole flower and plant.
The other pic's of those flowers that look like Lilly Pads in bloom are nice, too. My neighbor gave me a couple stems many years ago from one of the larger species of this cacti that cling to the trees down in Florida. Never saw them flower way up North in Muncie, Indiana.

creative cactus contest
Well, what we have here is an old PB computer that was a hand-me-down. I have some nice pic's I'd like to share but I'd have to use either my son's or x-wife's computer to send them in. Might be a little like hugging a cactus contest, LOL! -Joe

I gotta say I loved Hob's pic, it displayed great creative talent, maybe that sort of creative work is a good topic for a future contest. Good one Hob!
Indeed there are some really great shots in this contest, and I must concede my defeat and offer my congrats to maestro grand choum... well done! that's a "top" photograph.
