More habitat photos

Post by Martin_Heigan »

Evening all,

Here are some Huernia pendula habitat photographs in South Africa.

As Daiv requested last time, here are some photographs of the area where I took the photographs. I happen to live just on the other side of the hill. Also note the endangered Black Eagle in the "Habitat 2" photo. It is nesting at the moment.

Thanks Martin!

That area looks surprisingly like parts of Southern California or North-Central Arizona. No Black Eagles out this way, but there are California Condors which are also low in numbers.

Hi Daiv,

Yes, last time I visited LA, I saw the resemblance. It is actually a very similar climate too.

Hi Martin,

Great pictures. I never thought you would have paradise right in your backyard. Definitely some nice looking country.
