Hello everybody,
yesterday in a plantshop I found something, that looked to me like a Stapelia -- but it is TINY. Nonetheless, it has flowered (done) & carries some buds. Incredible.
About size: The plant is about 5cm (ca. 2in) high. The pot measures about 5cm (ca. 2in) across. The measure shown in the last picture are centimeter -- 2.5cm are appr. 1in. See how tiny that plant is? And carrying buds!
Do you have an idea what I stumbled upon?
Thank you very much, I do appreciate all help.

Hello Greenknight,
sounds very good, that should be the name.
Do you something about them: Do they need a really cool winter just as Stapelia grandiflora, leendertziae or the like? -- I don't want to loose it immediately because of a too warm or too cold winter.
Thank you very much

....read them up properly. Will give them a cool winter in the unheated stairwell.

I've never grown it, but from what I read its cultural requirements are no different from those other species.nachtkrabb wrote: ↑Thu Oct 19, 2023 1:44 pm

Hello Greenknight,
I can understand you. I for sure did not want to bring any plant back with me at all -- but when I saw that, I couldn't say 'no'. It was the only one on a couple of trays with miniature plants. Just hope they really make it through the winter...
What a pity that I can't send you a cutling, but the USA are so strict with their customs. So I do hope you get one soon locally.
Take care,
Nachtkrabb
