Re: Photos from my greenhouse
Thank you keith!
Some plants flowering for the first time. The pilosocereus surprised me as it's only around 4-5 years old. As for the echinopsis, these are said to be very hard to flower because they are the highly offsetting form. Well i have 4 of them flowering.
Some bonus photos:

Re: Photos from my greenhouse
It's quite an impressive collection. Do you have any far away shots that show the whole collection?
Thanks
Thanks

Wow....just Wow! I'm thinking - That's a lot of cactus to care for. You're either retired, have a helper(s), or more youthful energy than most people, ha ha! Thanks for sharing with us.

Re: Photos from my greenhouse
Thank you! I took down the greenhouse for summer and plants are scattered all over. However, i will look for old photos to posttheclosetguy wrote: ↑Tue Apr 28, 2020 1:08 pm It's quite an impressive collection. Do you have any far away shots that show the whole collection?

Thank you for your kind words! Actually i'm 26 so you could say it's youthful energy In reality it doesn't take much work. I repot in very large (back breaking) batches until i run out of soil or pots. I'm lucky enough that it rains at least once almost every week through spring so i don't bother with watering. In summer, i'm away and water maybe once every week or two, lots of neglect in the collection. That's why cacti are the plants for me.

Nice...I knew there was something with 'youthful energy' involved...or a glutton for cactus love. Flip the age numbers and you have me...a youthful minded, energetic, old man @ 62. Just reached the summit of Deseret Peak @ 11,033' ASL last August. Bonneville Salt Flats behind me on the horizon.
