I see nothing without my spectacles, or maybe the picture is too small?

Robinj - Unless you noticed flying creatures around the plant (in the house), that's just old blossom. I have a couple indoors, but suspect they're never pollinated & certainly not any Winter/Spring bloomers! Other member might have different experiences.
Once bitten by the cactus collecting/growing bug, there is no known cure!
There's no 12 step programme for Cactaholics...so I shall just have to get some more!!

Re: Is there something coming?
Too much of a newbie to say if maybe "accidental" pollination occured. Mughal (under his Member's thread) had seveal macros of ladybugs in some of his more recent pics & might know -- or others!

OK, thanks. Where would some be able to buy lady bugs in stead of seeking for them in nature?

Old buds on those types of Mammillaria get that puckered look. Sorry to say, but it's probably not pollinated.
Re: Is there something coming?
A bummer, nothing more. Would be nice if it would be pollinated.

Re: Is there something coming?
I think that is Mammillaria elongata. Anyway, I have one and I don't think it is self-fertile. Mine blooms every year with dozens of flowers and never a fruit. I could be wrong, but unless you have another non-clone plant, it is unlikely that you'll get fruit.

I have gotten several Mamms that bloomed but have gotten no fruit since the first year when they were around other plants...
