Growth Habits: Small clumping plant with green stems each head is up to 1.5 inches (4 cm) dia and up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall

Etymology: Acharagma meaning not grooved.
Origin: Mexico, Coahuila.
Light: Full sun in the UK.
Compost. A free draining gritty soil mix.
Water: Regular water from late spring to autumn,allow to dry between waterings, dry in winter.
Flower: Flower colour is yellow to pink with a darker mid stripe.
Min temp: It can survive low temperatures (appr. -7°C).
Cultivation: Easy to grow, flowers and clumps from an early age.
Habitat. Elevation is 1,600 metres (5,200 ft)
Comments: Another plant that did not sit happily in several different genera,and a new genus name was proposed by Zimmerman in 1991 and erected by Charles Glass in his 1997/98 publication.
