The big one on the right side must be "Porthos" . . .

For KittieKat:-

You can both add new words and delete wrongly spelt ones in smartphone dictionaries. My computer spellchecker will keep automatically changing spination into supination unless I go back and correct it. I really ought to add spination to it's dictionary.

The limestone chips where only on top of the soil but nevertheless I repotted it in an almost anorganic mixture in a smaller pot.
I put it outside in the shade, almost 4 months later it recovered nicely:

Yes that look much happier.

When the roots fill the pot, whether it be almost pure peat or mostly rock chips, you are free to soak the pot and give the plant a good drink. Then do it again when it dries out.

I will, thanks. It already had seen a lot of rain lately here in The Netherlands.

I got this not so long back. It was sold as lophophora viesca, I really liked the colour and texture of the stem which is quite different to all other lophophora. I assume it's either a fricii, fricii albiflora or maybe a koehreshii but wondered if anyone can shed some light as it is so different to my existing fricii and koehreshii which I have got from trusted suppliers so am pretty confident with their id's. It's got 2 buds poking through the fluffy on the middle so will have a better idea soon.

Viesca is a known location for L. fricii and for the confusing L. decipiens. It's also more or less on the border of the reported L. williamsii range, but I would discount that. L. koehresii occurs much further south, so assuming it really comes from around Viesca it is probably a L. fricii.

That's cool I can pollinate it with my other fricii then hopefully. They both have buds so that won't be long now.

As usual Ade the "cactus chewers" often give the most details on these plants. A quote from the link below:-

"Reported analysis of Lophophora sp. var. Viesca

from Viesca, Mexico

Also spelled. sp. Vieska in European cultivation. (This has been determined to be Lophophora fricii)"

Yep, I always want to know where they find this information before the growers and sellers?
