Cactus "coffee table" book?

Post by Download »

I wonder if someone can recommend one.

By "coffee table book", I mean a colour, beautifully photographed, large format book, with every or alternating pages being a photograph. I'm not sure what other people call them, but I've always known them as coffee table books. They are usually considered fashionable or swanky, going well with people's decor. I don't want one for that reason; I just want a nice book on cacti.

I'd recommend "Cacti: the Illustrated Dictionary" by Rod & Ken Preston-Mafham, you can find not expencive edition from Amazon or EBaY.

To me most general books on cacti are "coffee table books" as only a few are really reference works with proper detailed botanical descriptions of the plants in them.

Agree with Antticepp regarding the Prestom Mafham one. The Clive Innes one is similar.

If you look on EBAY, you can pick up many often now out of print cheap.

Terry Hewit's is similar to what you want.

Take your pick on EBAY since most of the glossy ones are usually "coffee table books".

Don't forget Daiv sells books, but shipping to Oz will be expensive. https://exoticplantbooks.com/
