Ferocactus ?

Post by Hanazono »

I found two more cacti in winter-weeds.

I assume:
Photo 1: F. glaucescens
Sown seed in 2003, 24 cm in diameter currently

Photo 2: Ferocactus
Sown seed in 2003, 19 cm in diameter and 30 cm tall currently

Please let me know possible names.

I would agree with you on #1, second one reminds me of a tall Lobivia, but I can't remember which.

G'morning Alejandro, anttisepp and K.W.

Thanks for your informations.

I am not sure but it may be.

I bought Ferocactus-mix seeds and sowed in 2003.
I planted 4 seedlings on the current location in 2008.
My freind gave me a branch of Myrtillocactus and I planted it on North side of the location. It was my mistake. The Myrtillocactus has grown too big which makes shade over 4 seedlings.

I introduced 3 of them. 4th cactus is a unknown named Ferocactus which is damaged growing point, 40 cm in diameer.
