anacampseros + crassula IDs

Post by MUM2RKG »

I was told this one is an anacampseros rufescens by people in a FB group which i’ve found isn’t the best place to get IDs, so I wanted to make sure. I’ve always felt it was correct and she was just in bad shape. I’ve finally got her with new growth but she’s etiolated, right? it’s definitely an anacampseros, right? it’s got the little hairs and all that. (first two are when I first got her, next two are today)

This next one, I was told is crassula rupestris or brevifolia, I think it was. I gave it to someone and went to visit and saw it had a black bottom leaf and I took it back (pics of what I unearthed, literally) and I had it in my prop tray and saw it had roots, so I potted it in a small terracotta pot probably a week ago.

Anacampseros rufescens looks correct. The second on I think is Crassula perforata.

Second for Anacampseros rufenscens. Crassula could be rupestris.
They need more light.

i think you had agreed with someone that it is c. brevifolia before. these are so hard when they’re so small!

I may have - yes, it's hard to tell! Not real important, cultivation is the same in any of those cases, it just feels good to assign a definite ID to a plant.

I make care sheets for each of my plants, and i’m especially picky with my props, but it feels amazing to have a definite ID, yes! I have a bunch of leaves i’ve got in my prop tray that an employee from walmart gave me instead of the trash and it makes my eye twitch when i even look at them all. haha. I mean I take care of all my succulents in pretty much the same way, so it doesn’t matter too too much… but yeah it’s nice haha. thanks, my friend!
