Cylindropuntia ramosissima

Cylindropuntia ramosissima or Pencil Cholla.. I acquired this cutting 3 years ago and its been growing nicely. A very pleasant surprise yesterday afternoon.

Mine has several inches without spines, pretty handy. Though I have moved it in ground this year. Not sure of flower color on mine but the local plants are greenish yellow, same as our bigelovvi.

It's very difficult to find C. bigelovii (Teddy-bear Cholla) in Europe for my surprise.

I have a lot on my property, the few times I’ve tried to propagate never rooted.
Actually I believe they are echinocarpa and not bigelovvi.

Ah shoot, I was wrong on the pencil also, flowers pink.
